Frequently Asked Questions
Are those real embellishments
on your cards?
Scrapless Press creates photo cards. Our design
process gives them a handmade, scrapbook look. We digitally
merge your photo with our designs to create one image, which
we have printed in a professional photo lab. There are no
embellishments on them. They are just two pieces (the resulting
4x6 photo and the cardstock). We mount the photo to the cardstock.
Each card comes with a matching envelope.
How does it work?
Send us your photo, along with completed order form
and payment. We will merge your photo with the design you
select, and e-mail you a proof for your approval. Once approved,
we will print high quality 4 x 6 inch photographs. This is
a true photographic process, not ink jet or other type of
photo print. Your prints are then mounted to white cover
weight card stock for durability and the option of writing
a personal message or "thank you" to your recipient.
How do I submit my photo?
Once you complete your purchase, your web browser will take you to our photo upload page.
You can send your photo to us via e-mail or regular mail. When sending original
photos via regular mail we suggest you use a photo mailer which is more durable
than a regular envelope. Please submit original photos no larger than 8 x
10 inches, they will be returned with your order.
If your picture is already in a digital format, that’s good too. It is
important to note the following: Most digital cameras and film processing labs
that put your images to CD save them in a format called JPEG. This is a compressed
image format. If you need to save images as JPEG, please use the minimum compression
level, or maximum quality level to ensure the best image possible. Many internet service
providers limit the size of attachments to 5 megabytes. Scrapless Press can
accept larger files. If you can send it, we can receive it.
It is best to send your images in their original color mode (usually RGB).
If you would like a black and white, sepia, or otherwise tinted photo, we can
convert your image without changing your original.
Can you print addresses on my
envelopes?
Yes. We can print just your return address or both
your return and recepient's address on the envelopes. If
you choose to have us print both addresses we'll send you
a Microsoft Excel file to complete. If you don't have Microsoft
Excel we can work with other formats, just ask.
When will I see a proof and how long will it take?
For the most current production schedule, please visit our blog. Once we receive your order and payment, we can usually
have a proof via e-mail within approximately 24 hours (M-F). If there are
any changes, we will make them and repeat the proofing process.
We will have your cards in the mail 2-3 days after
approval. If you have noted a special request we will notify
you of any change to that timeline.
What if I don't like how my photo looks in the design?
We will never complete your order without your written approval. If for any reason you decide you'd like to cancel your order after seeing your proof, you will receive a full refund.
